Windows 7 release dateIf you were planning on buying a computer soon (and you don't belong to the Mac Cult) then you may want to change your plans and hold off for a few weeks. It'll be worth your while.

Best Buy sent out a memo to employees to explain how the company will be selling Windows 7 computers and how to promote them. The funniest part is where they say employees should not explain Win 7 as "Vista that works." Let's hope it really is more than that.

But the biggest news from that memo is that Best Buy will be offering free upgrades to Windows 7 on any computer bought in their stores, starting on June 26. If you can manage to put off your purchase of a computer until the end of the month, you'll probably be grateful when Windows 7 is officially released on October 22.
