Vista's Alter Ego, Mojave, Apparently Isn't Half Bad
After nearly a year of raspberry status as the biggest failure in Windows history, the Vista OS is being given another go, with a new name that is. And it appears that the Vista doppelganger had a much better reception, too.
To those reared on the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," Miracle Whip and Regular vs. Diet taste tests of yore, this will come as no surprise. Sure, Mojave isn't the diet version of Vista, but to the users that made use of it recently, it certainly wasn't the much-defamed Vista either.
It was of course Vista, but the elusive name change forced users to give it, well, a fair chance. Yes, they still found problems with the OS, but overall, their experiences were positive, praiseworthy even. News of this has already reached the blogosphere, with ripples certain to reach printed media by week's end. But the question remains: will this positive spin be enough to challenge the damningly negative connotations surrounding the Vista OS?
Only time will tell, but for now, I'll be cold and dead in the grave before I give up XP.
